Held at the Shah Alam Buddhist Society last night, the 4th Inter-Dharma School Hymns Singing Competition say many talented singers from Sunday schools that came from Penang all the way to Melaka. In the end, it was Seck Kia Eenh (SKE) Dharma School that took the honours by winning the overall title. With mudita, I congratulate the SKE.
Although this was their first time participating in the competition, they are not first-timers. SKE has produced and inspired many with their music and songs over years. SKE is a powerful influence of Buddhist music in Malaysia.
When I joined my first Buddhist society during my school days, songs and hymns were one of the the most interesting activities. I was very inspired by the songs that I even participated in a local competition! The songs were all in English and many of those came from Buddhist friends who were from Melaka's Seck Kia Eenh. SKE is also one of the oldest and most established Buddhist temples in Malaysia. Winning the Challenge Trophy was a kind of homecoming and a fitting recognition of their contribution to Buddhist music in Malaysia, and to some extent to the world! SADHU to SKE!
SADHU to all the winners and the participants of the 4th Inter-Dharma School Hymns Singing Competition. Everyone sang their hearts out and really tried their best.
Congratulations to the organizers and volunteers, great job!
SADHU! SADHU! SADHU!

Here's a disturbing article on the smuggling of Buddhist relics in India I came across while googling.

Smuggling of images has been going on for a while. This article is hardly the right platform, however, if you have in depth, verified stories we would be glad to publish it here.
